My design services were again referred to a lovely family who had recently purchased an amazing detached property with huge potential for much-needed modifications and renovations, taking it from a very traditional style to their brief of a bright, calm, minimalist and Scandinavian design, this was also a very special and exciting time for the family with a new arrival on the way. Numerous meetings and detailed conversations with my clients both on and offsite enabled me to fully understand their daily family needs and design vision, creating a strong client rapport and design brief that was just right for them! I oversaw every detail – from ripping out all existing fixtures and fittings such as flooring, windows, electrics, plumbing, radiators, cabinetry, sanitary ware, tiles and lights throughout – hall, landing, three bathrooms, five bedrooms, two large living spaces and a kitchen with a dining area. Their home was totally revamped with clever space planning, electrical and lighting plans along with 3D designs which are vital in enabling my clients to have a clear visualisation of how their finished home will look, flow and feel, along with delivering many constructional changes I also managed to squeeze in a much-needed utility room where there had been none before! I always feel a strong sense of emotion and privilege working with clients on something as important and personal as their home, this project felt especially prevalent to me as I was able to deliver and hand over their home with a turnkey finish and importantly on schedule, ahead of the arrival of their new bundle of joy. My clients and their children are all thrilled with their new home, I cannot put into words how very proud and satisfied that makes me feel too!
